Dive into hands on exhibits and fun STEM activities for all the family. Tickets must be booked for adults and children.

Join us at the new STEM Starts Discovery Centre in Elgin. Dive into hands‑on exhibits and fun activities that will spark curiosity in explorers of all ages.

Sessions are completely free — just make sure each child brings along an adult (maximum of 1 adult per 4 children). Please book tickets for both adults and children so we can make sure everyone gets a spot.

Help us keep the centre fresh and comfy for everyone! Please bring grippy socks or indoor shoes so you can explore safely and help keep our centre clean.

What is STEM Starts?

STEM Starts is designed to spark curiosity and excitement in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) from an early age. Our aim is to help children build confidence, develop future‑ready skills, and strengthen Moray’s growing STEM community and workforce. Our STEM Starts programme is designed with children aged 3–8 in mind, offering fun, hands‑on learning experiences. However, we’ll have activities suitable for a range of ages, so families are welcome to come along and explore together.

Get ready to discover, experiment, and play — we can’t wait to welcome you!
